It still does not feel real that this is my family's journey. Despite the statistics, I never thought it would happen to us. But here we are, thanking the incredible work of Cancer Focus NI for supporting my sister in ways we simply cannot. 

My warrior of a big sister was diagnosed in 2022 and each day amazes us with her strength, positivity and love. I thank Cancer Focus NI for all the support behind the scenes. For helping her navigate information, forming her 'tribe', providing retreats and knowing what to say when I do not. Most importantly, they bring people together who understand what each other are going through, they way others simply can not, and give them time to bond away from the stressors of cancer and ordinary life. 

On Saturday 17th June 2023, a team of 10 incredible friends and I will be taking on the Mourne Seven Summits challenge to raise money for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. By supporting me in the Mourne Seven Summits challenge you will be helping Cancer Focus NI to continue to deliver vital services to cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland.
