Story
We are both running the Great North Run half marathon again on the 11th September, supporting CCHS UK. CCHS stands for Central Congenital Hypoventilation Syndrome - a rare, genetic condition which affects the body’s autonomic system. This means that anything our bodies do automatically like breathing, heart rate regulation, sweating, blinking, digestion etc is slow/ sluggish when awake and can stop altogether during sleep.
This charity is personal to us as our sister/ daughter Emma has CCHS, is ventilated at night and faces many ongoing challenges related to living with a rare and complex condition.
We would love to raise as much money and awareness as we can for this very worthy charity & any donations would be hugely appreciated!
