I've now completed the 2022 Virtual London Marathon supporting Marie Curie!
I completed the 2020 Virtual London Marathon and the 2021 London Marathon (on my 21st Birthday) with a charity place for Marie Curie!

In early 2019 my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and due to the level of care he needed to stay comfortable, which we could not have given at home, he stayed at our local Marie Curie hospice. We were surrounded by staff who genuinely cared for not only my dad but all of us with him. The set up at the hospice allowed me to visit as much as I wanted and this meant I could make the most of time. I could talk and laugh with my dad and have made many happy memories, even during a difficult time, which I will remember forever.
It costs approximately £400 for someone to stay at a Marie Curie hospice for 24 hours. My dad stayed at the hospice for 40 days. Marie Curie relies on donations to give the care it does, both in hospices and at home. I want to raise money for Marie Curie to show my appreciation for the care and support we were given. The donations mean others will get to receive the same personalised care when they need it.
The 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon was postponed from Sunday 26th April to Sunday 4th October. It has now changed format so I will be running The 40th Race from home, on my own route, along with everyone else (elite races are taking place on an enclosed circuit in St. James’ Park) who has a place, all over the world! I also get the chance to rollover my place to 2021 (already postponed from Sunday 25th April to Sunday 3rd October), 2022 or 2023.
