Oxygen crisis in India · 6 May 2021

Helping the people of India with the devastating impact of COVID-19

Story

The health care system in India has been overwhelmed by the 2nd Covid wave and patients are dying in/outside hospitals due to lack of oxygen

Members of my family and many friends have been affected by this acute oxygen shortage. Thus, I have decided to run the London Vitality 10k this year in support of the British Asian Trust who are purchasing oxygen concentrators and cylinders to save lives in India.

The British Asian Trust has been endorsed by the Prince of Wales and has been featured by the BBC for the excellent work its doing in responding to this crisis.

All funds collected from my page will be committed to the Indian Actuaries Network UK's Justgiving fundraiser for the British Asian Trust which I have also helped to set up.

My current employer Chaucer will be matching the contributions on my page up to £1000 so please do donate generously.

In case you are an actuary and would like to be part of the fundraising team, please do get in touch.

My deepest gratitude to all those who donate, share and become fundraisers for this cause.
