Dementia has unfortunately personally affected my family alongside thousands of others up and down the country. Dementia is close to my heart having witnessed my gran suffer with the horrible condition, gradually loosing more of her ability to live independently and communicate. I have also watched the strain it put on my grandfather, trying his hardest to look after her on his own, until unfortunately it became to much and she had to move in to a nursing home. There may be not be much that can be done for her at the moment, but your donations will fund vital research to stop the same happening to other families and it makes all the difference.
