Walk for Parkinson's - Leeds Castle · 8 September 2019
Two people in the UK are diagnosed with Parkinson’s every hour. Parkinson’s UK are on the verge of major breakthroughs and together we can end Parkinson’s forever. Parkinson’s is a neurological condition that gets worse over time. It can affect anyone and has a serious impact on everyday life. There are over 40 symptoms of Parkinson’s, from anxiety and depression to painful muscle cramps.
Alicia and Jo (aka AJ) and their daughters Scarlett and Grace will be taking part in Walk for Parkinson on 8 September at Leeds Castle. All funds raised will go towards running the helpline, which is at the heart of Parkinson’s UK. The helpline receives over 2,700 calls a month and is run by trained advisers, including specialist Parkinson’s nurses. It provides support to anyone affected by Parkinson’s and is a lifeline to many of the people who call. A donation of £18 will run the helpline for an hour.
