I am pleased to inform you that my team and I have a confirmed entry for the 2018 Rhino Charge event.

With your support, we successfully completed last year’s event and finished 2nd in the Gauntlet, 6th in the modified class and in 9th position overall. There were a total of 62 entrants and the nature of this unusually gruelling 2017 event saw only one competitor complete the entire course.

Last year’s event was held on the 3rd of June 2017 in Marsabit where Kshs 155,628,474/= was raised, exceeding the previous record of Kshs 138 million raised, in 2016. Our team raised Kshs 6,304,013/- which made us the 4th highest in fundraising for the event. A feat made possible due to the generosity of our sponsors. Thank you!

This year we will once again be using our Land Rover. Work on the car has started and we expect to test the vehicle in April.

As you may know, the Rhino Charge raises funds for the fencing and maintenance of forests and ecosystems around Kenya's important water catchment areas. The money raised during last year’s event will go towards fencing Mt Kenya and Mau Eburu. Work on these two projects is underway with a substantial part of the Mt. Kenya electric fence already built and now being rehabilitated. Parts of the original fence are over 25 years old when the first funds were raised by the Rhino Charge. A large part on Mau Eburu fence has been completed. Funds are also used for maintenance of these important fences. This you will appreciate is a very worthwhile cause!
