Event: The Big Sleep 2017, on 28 January 2017
Raising money to keep older people in Cumbria warm and well during the cold winter months

Story

On Saturday 28th January a number of our team members from across our various offices will be spending a night under the stars camping in front of the Low Wood Bay Hotel, right on the shore of Lake Windermere.

You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal!

You can donate via text: Text AWWW99 followed by £2/£5/£10 to 70070.

In a bad winter, 300 elderly Cumbrians die every year due to cold weather as they are made to choose between heating and eating.

The Big Sleep is held every winter to raise money for Cumbria Community Foundation’s Winter Warmth Appeal. Since it started only 4 years ago, the Big Sleep has attracted raised more than £360k for the appeal and helped more than 2,500 people stay warm and healthy throughout the winter.

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
