Story
Many years ago, my father was diagnosed with heart arrhythmia and it severely affected his every day life. 10 years ago, his condition worsened, and he was hospitalised for months on end, before sadly passing away aged 53.
This is the next of my bi-annual fundraising events for the amazing charity that works so hard to end heart-disease for good.
This is the next step in my bi-annual series of fundraising for BHF. I have previously ridden the London to Brighton off-road ride, but this year, to mark the 10 years off in style, I am adding a twist: should I exceed my fundraising goal and hit my stretch target, David Godden and I will ride this year's event in a dress! Please follow our team's fundraising progress here: https://www.justgiving.com/team/Frocking-hell
I will initially set out to ride this on my hard-tail mountain bike. However:
- If I raise £500, I will swap out the hard-tail for a full-suspension mountain bike (which will make the 75-mile ride that much more challenging); and
- If I raise £750+, I will ride the full length on the full-suspension...in a dress.
I'm sure many of you would like to see this happen, so please give generously!

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target...and the stretch goals... Thanks!
