My husband Matt had a rare type of kidney disease called IgA nephropathy. It’s an autoimmune disease that attacks the kidneys. He was lucky enough to discover that his mum was a perfect donor match. Last year she gave him her kidney who we affectionately call Rodney. It has been life changing. She’s an amazing woman.

The charity supports two million people with Chronic Kidney Disease and 60,000 patients who have end stage kidney failure.
