Story

After teaming up with Penny Appeal to climb Ama Dablam, A peak 6856 meters high in the Himalayas, which is technically as difficult as Mount Everest, I have decided to kick start my campaign with a 350km Ramadan Run for which I hope to raise £10,000. I will be running whilst fasting to money raised money for Emergency Relief. I hope to hit the target in the 30 days of Ramadan when I hope to complete the 350km's (in'sha'Allah)

A full description of my Ama Dablam page is below, please have a read,

Having climbed some of the prominent peaks around the world, it is time to take it even further in an effort to raise awareness for people in

crisis-hit countries around the world, and help the less fortunate. This
means striving towards extraordinary heights, quite literally.

The time has come to explore the majestic Himalayas. I have decided to undertake the great journey of climbing the Ama Dablam mountain in the eastern range. At a peak height of 6,856 metres, it is a little shy of its Himalayan big brother, Mount Everest. However, the Ama Dablam is often considered by mountaineers as equally challenging as any 8000-metre peak.

Because I enjoy the thrill of speed ascents, I have decided to climb this
mountain on a 14-day home-to-home timescale. This will be a true test as the average start-to-finish climb time ranges between 25-30 days to Kathmandu. Extreme strength, determination and motivation will be required to go the distance, and therefore a real testament of will. In addition to the personal challenge, we are pushing the limit of what we can raise in order to aid those in need.

Thus, I have collaborated on this effort with the charity Penny Appeal. My goal is to do as many activities for good causes like this and inspire more people within the Muslim community to take action in providing aid to those who need it most. With Penny Appeal, our hope together is to raise money for their Emergency Response fund which helps to provide fast and effective poor relief to over thirty countries devastated by everlasting crises. I believe that this campaign has the potential to be of great assistance to not only a large number of people around the world but here at home in the United Kingdom.

ZAKAT IS ACCEPTED - the causes benefitted will be Zakat applicable and so this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute. Penny Appeal's 100% Zakat policy means all your money is guaranteed to be donated to the right causes.

Your donations could help protect and save thousands of families from the devastating effects of natural disasters and conflict. War, famine, disease, poverty & climate change have immobilised the Rohingya & Uyghur refugees, internally displaced people in Yemen, Syria and Gaza. Penny Appeal need your support to be able to deploy life-saving medical aid, food, clothing, sanitation and shelter to those who've been left incredibly vulnerable.

Allah (SWT) tells us in the Qur'an, 'Whoever saves a life, it is as if he has saved the whole of mankind' (5:32) and I believe, together, we can save lives with Penny Appeal.

Please join me in raising funds for Emergency Response, so in the aftermath of emergencies and natural disasters people can get the help they so desperately need. You can be there for people facing crisis, war and displacement with a simple donation.
