Stuart has always been a unique character. With a broad Welsh dialect that closely resembled Barry White in pitch and tone, Stuart's demeanour was laid-back and relaxed. We thought nothing of it: Stuart was good at his job and life would be boring if we were all the same.
That all changed in February 2019. By 09:00 a.m, there was no sign of Stuart in the office. This was most unusual. A call to his son brought terrible news; Stuart was in intensive care, just 20 minutes from Heaven's door and with a 50/50 chance of survival.
For a decade Stuart's thyroid had not been working, causing his body to slowly close down. He had put it down to his age!
Fast forward to April and excitement levels were high when Stuart was well enough to return to work...but NOTHING prepared us for his transformation. Stuart remains our dear friend and colleague but with new batteries powering him along!
Words cannot describe the difference, so (with Stuart's permission) we have published a "Before and After" photograph.
