The Langalanga Scholarship Fund supports the education of bright but very needy young people from the impoverished area of the Rift Valley around the town of Gilgil in Kenya. It provides the hope that poverty can be alleviated through education and the greatly increased chance of finding good employment.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.  The photo is of Claire and me with Beatrice, the young Kenyan girl we have sponsored through secondary education since 2009.  We were thrilled to hear this month that she has gained a place at Nairobi University to read accountancy.  Five years ago, it was unlikely that Beatrice would have been schooled much beyond primary education.  I would like to offer another child the opportunities granted by the LangaLanga programme (started by Claire's godfather 14 years ago).  It costs only £500 per year to board, clothe, feed and teach a child - a total of £2000 over the four years of their secondary education.  Please sponsor me, so that another child can be supported through LangaLanga. Thank you.
