Age Concern Epsom and Ewell is founded in 1947. The charity provides
companionship, advice and support for older people who need it most. Their goal is to empower older people to live the most fulfilling lives they can.

Everyone feels lonely at some point in life. However, for a growing number of people, particularly those in later life, with no one to turn to… loneliness can define their lives and have a significant impact on their well-being. Loneliness is a massive issue for people in later life in the UK. Feeling isolated can lead to serious mental health problems.

Donations will help fund services such as the Befriending Services where volunteer visits an older person in their home to provide companionship. This regular and friendly conversation provides an older person with a link to the outside world and often acts as a gateway for other relevant services and valuable support.

I have never done any long distance running before and this will be my
first half-marathon. I am extremely excited to give this a go and your donations will be additional motivation to help me conquer the 13 miles.Training will be tough but all for a great cause!
