The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

I have kidney cancer and am waiting for an operation during lockdown. MacMillan are doing a fantastic job keeping everyone's spirits up and caring for people with cancer and their families. As I approach 60 I want to celebrate this milestone by challenging myself to do 60 miles in a wheelchair, in the month of my birth ( February) , over the number of days of my date of birth (26)

It is a race against time as I may be called in for my operation at any time.

I am relatively new to wheelchair exercise as I have been diagnosed with spinal stenosis, which means my  spine continues to deteriorate ;  I need to use the wheelchair for fitness and mobility.

This will be a real and meaningful challenge for me.

Thanks for supporting my fundraising. At Macmillan, they give people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are their worries. They’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help they can’t support everyone who needs them. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
