Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We've wanted to do the ride for a couple of years but haven't made it yet due to my injuries. When we originally planned the ride I decided that I wanted to do something for Sue Ryder Care.

Sue Ryder Care supports people with specialist palliative, end of life and long-term neurological care needs.

Each year we provide 4 million hours of care to people living with cancer, multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, stroke and brain injury.

My cousin worked as a manager at Leckhampton and I saw first hand the amount of work that went into running a hospice and the amount of money needed to keep them running. Donations are the lifeblood to keep these hospices going.

I lost my uncle to cancer and we've had friends who have lost parents to cancer, so I know a little about the work Sue Ryder do to help and support people involved.

So I feel this is a great way to do something worthwhile and, hopefully, give something back.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

It doesn't matter how large or small your donation is............it all helps.

Thanks

Alan.
