Join Team Irish Cancer Society on 29 October 2023 for the Dublin City Marathon and help support cancer patients and their families across Ireland.

Story

On October 29th I am running the Dublin City Marathon for The Irish Cancer Society. Like many others, the lives of my friends and family have been affected by cancer and this year I am running the race in memory of John Costigan and my late uncle, Bill Costelloe. Both men bravely lost their battle with cancer in January and February respectively. I am raising money for The Irish Cancer Society to help support patients and their families and your donation will help make a big impact to the work they do.

Cancer is the most common cause of death in Ireland with more than 9,000 people in Ireland dying each year. That's almost 25 people dying from cancer every day across Ireland. An average of 1 person every hour. The Irish Cancer Society are working towards a future where nobody dies from cancer, and everyone affected by the disease will have access to world class treatment and support.
