In just over a month from now I am heading up to the North Pole to
compete in the North Pole marathon. This is an event that I decided to
enter over a year ago. During the last 12 months my mother and other
friends I know have been diagnosed with various kinds of Cancer.
Thankfully they have all received treatment and are dealing with their
recoveries. I am under no illusions of how difficult this marathon will
be and I fully expect to suffer on the day of the event but this is a
small price to pay if it helps others during their own difficult times

For those wanting to track my run on the 9th April 2015 there is an athlete tracker and regular updates on the npmarathon facebook page and on the npmarathon .com website

In my lifetime alone the mention of the word cancer often only meant
one outcome but thankfully due to medical advances and research the
word cancer for many, means a very different outcome.

This dramatic change in outcomes has been brought about not only by the big medical pharmaceutical giants but also the huge amount of money raised by people like myself.

I would be very grateful if you could kindly donate as much as possible, no matter how small the amount, so that vital research can continue into Cancer treatments.
