On Sunday 10th September, Ian Dyer and myself are running in the Great North Run to raise much needed funds for the Redheugh Boys Club in my hometown of Gateshead.

The club have fallen on tough times, and since 1957 have given so much to youngsters in the local community.

I spent ten years at the club and they played a huge part in my development,and many players who went on to the professional ranks including Paul Gascoigne and Don Hutchinson learned their trade at the club.

All donations will be gratefully received to assist this legendary organisation continue the excellent work now and into the future.
