On Sat 18 Jun 2022 (the longest day), Myself, Danny Wood and Wayne Hindmarsh will be getting picked up by Paul Hutchinson's taxis and dropped off at Newcastle Train Station to catch the 0622 train to Edinburgh. So far easy...........on arrival at 0805, we'll detrain and proceed to cycle home to Stanhope & Frosterley some 150 miles on the same day. The route for those interested will be from Edinburgh then through Innerleithen, Hawick, Newcastleton, Longtown, Brampton, Alston and then just for a laugh out of Nenthead and over Killhope. Although we have done this ride before which takes approx 14hrs including stops, this is the first time i have looked for sponsorship. I appreciate that for many people I've invited to sponsor this is a local charity that you may never have heard of, or even heard of Weardale, so please, if needs be, just give a little. This is not any easy downhill from Scotland cycle ride but is gruelling in parts and takes the full day, hence the longest day of sunlight.
