Alan's Abseil

Francesca Dunne is raising money for Parkinson’s UK
In memory of John Cook
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Every step in raising funds for Parkinsons is a step closer to finding a cure. John Cook was taken earlier this year and the disease challenged him for a long time. Alan is doing this for John and for all those challenges he underwent and in memory of him as he abseils down the Guildford cathedral at 78 years of age.

"John and those suffering with the disease will forever be in my heart and in my thoughts as I scale down the Guildford Cathedral. You only live once! And to do this for John, and to do it at 78 years of age and to do it raising funds for Parkinsons UK is a privilege."
