Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. JustGiving is a quick, simple and safe way of supporting good causes. Please take a few minutes to read my story and support CLAPA.
Georgina, our youngest daughter was born with a cleft palate, and in common with many other cleft children, she has other complications such as hearing and speech difficulties. Despite her waiting for her 4th operation in 4 years, she is one of the most gorgeous and happy little girls we have ever met.
No one knows what caused Georgina's condition which was diagnosed (or suspected) before her birth. CLAPA (The Cleft Lip and Palate Association) are a fantastic organisation which supports children with clefts and their families such as ourselves. They provide a support network, publish information and organise events for affected families both before and after birth and into adulthood.
CLAPA were there for us and the other 1,200 babies who are born in the UK with cleft lip and palates each year. During Cleft Lip and Palate Awareness Week I would like to give something back so I am abseiling 262 feet down the London Orbital at the Olympic Park.
I would be so grateful if you could join me in supporting CLAPA so that they are able to continuing supporting children and affected families like ours.
