London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

On Sunday 3rd October 2021 I will taking part in the 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon and running 26.2 miles to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

I'm running the 2021 London Marathon in memory of my grandfather, Jack Durbidge. He was my mother's father and he died of Pancreatic Cancer before I was born. I'm running to help raise funds as this cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, tough to research, and tough to survive.

This was very true for my grandpa; by the time he was finally diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer it was too late and he died very soon afterwards.

For too long this disease has been sidelined and Pancreatic Cancer UK want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. They are supporting those affected by the disease, investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight.

Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer, so please dig deep and support me as I run for those affected by Pancreatic Cancer.
