Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, works in partnership with health professionals to try to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care and funds research that could help to reduce the numbers of babies dying and families devastated by this tragedy.

Story

Following on from a "Four peaks" challenge in 2010, a team of 11 of us (plus 2 support crew) are cycling 850 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats in 7 days. We're starting on Sat 26th May and should be back home with our families for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. None of us have really seriously cycled before, so the training has proved daunting. However, we've built up to 80-100mile training rides and now have to get our heads around cycling 120miles a day for 7 consecutive days!

I have chosen to support SANDS, the national still-birth charity. In 2002, our daugther Martha was still-born, and along with our family and friends, SANDS provided great support for Alison and me.

Any donation you feel you can make will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!!!
