Runners representing Able Child Africa for the London Marathon will help us play a key role in supporting local partners to protect, educate and empower children with disabilities so they are able to fulfill their potential.

Story

We (Alastair and Michael) are running the London Marathon 2023 together. We've decided to raise money for Able Child Africa because we think they're doing incredible work helping some of the world's most vulnerable children.

Able Child Africa plays a key role in supporting local partners to protect, educate and empower children with disabilities in the countries where we work. This year they captured the story of Rose and her parents in Malawi. When Rose's parents discovered their first daughter was born with cerebral palsy, they didn't know what to do. They had never seen a child with a disability before and faced with the stigma that surrounds disability, Rose was hidden away. Able Child Africa's project in partnership with the Federation of Disability Organisations in Malawi (FEDOMA) is reaching out to other families like Rose's to help identify children with disabilities in rural Malawi and ensure they get the help they so desperately need. Learn more about the amazing work they do here - https://ablechildafrica.org/

Any support would be hugely appreciated!
