Story

Hi. Thanks for visiting this page. The BUI is a great charity (especially for us men!) and I'm very pleased to be supporting its work here in Bristol. It is doing great work in many areas, but especially for research into prostrate cancer. See panel on right.

I have now completed the London Marathon. I was very pleased to achieve my target of under 4 hours. I can't tell you what hell it was in the last few miles. I knew I was close to my goal, but slowing down as my legs were giving in. However, I didn't want to miss out by a few seconds or minutes, so I slogged away - real torture. I'm glad I did now, but it was a bit touch and go.

It is also great to reach my fundraising target of £2000. However, it would be even better to get more for the BUI. So you can still donate to my fund, if you haven't got around to it yet.

Please donate through JustGiving. It makes life much easier for me, which is great. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the BUI and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks for supporting me,

Alastair
