The Gurkha Welfare Trust is the leading Gurkha charity. We provide financial, medical and community aid to relieve poverty and distress among retired Gurkha soldiers, their families and their wider communities.

Story

Martin died of pancreatic cancer in 2020, far too young but deeply proud of his time with the Gurkhas. Like Martin, my father-in-law Hank served as an officer with the Queen's Gurkha Engineers. They shared pride in the Regiment and the work of the Gurkha Welfare Trust. We were proud to raise money for the charity at Hank's memorial service in 2017 and I would now like to raise more by cycling many miles in Martin's memory.

The Gurkha Welfare Trust ensures that Gurkha veterans, their widows and their wider communities are able to live with dignity in Nepal, through the provision of financial, medical and community aid.
