We raise funds to tackle issues through influencing change

Story

Hello, I'm Alderman Peter Estlin and I am the 691st Lord Mayor of the City of London. On Friday 5th July this year, I will be taking part in The Lord Mayor's Appeal Abseil Challenge at Barclays HQ in Canary Wharf to abseil 150 metres down the building that is very familiar to me after working in it for many years.

This is quite a challenge and I’m aiming to raise over £10,000 for the multi-year Lord Mayor’s Appeal, 'A Better City for All', which supports groundbreaking programmes from three inspirational charities: Place2Be, OnSide Youth Zones and Samaritans.

I’m delighted to take on this thrilling challenge and thank you whole heartedly in advance for supporting and sponsoring my efforts.
