Read a bit more about Headway here:

We all think ‘it will never happen to me’, but each year around 350,000 people are admitted to hospital with a brain injury. That’s one every 90 seconds.

Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury. Whether the result of a road traffic collision, a fall or a sporting accident, or a stroke, brain tumour or illness, the effects can be devastating and last a lifetime.

Headway support survivors and their families and carers through a range of services, including; Headway Acute Trauma Support (HATS) nurses, a free phone helpline, Emergency Fund, vital information services and the Justice Project. Headway also supports a network of over 125 groups and branches, providing local services throughout the UK.
