London Marathon 2025 for Guy's St Thomas' Charity

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Hello! Welcome to my just giving page!
You may ask what on earth has possessed me to do this… so let me answer…
1) The hospital has provided first class healthcare for a close family member of mine. Without them, they’d not be able to live the life they do today. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done and continue to do.
2) The NHS. I know first hand from family members who are doctors, just how tough work can be and how vital the work they do is to local communities and families. My attempt to raise money for Guys and St Thomas allows me to support the wonderful work the NHS does both in routine work and in pioneering research and treatments to those who need it.
3) I’m a PE teacher… and at times a lazy one! Whilst this is a challenge for me, both mentally and physically, it is also an opportunity to prove to all the young children I teach that they are capable of anything they put their mind to. I’ve never been described as a runner, so to attempt this challenge is something I hope students can take inspiration from and encourage them to do anything they want to and show them that there is no prerequisite of a person to be able to participate in sport!
Your donations will help pioneer new approaches, support the on-going efforts to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and back the remarkable teams through health and wellbeing programmes. To give you an idea of the impact of your donation:
£10 can help improve rest areas so dedicated staff can properly recharge during long shifts.
£100 could help pay for one-to-one counselling for staff coping with the demands of working in a busy, high-pressured environment.
£350 could fund ground-breaking new research into treating Long COVID.
Thank you so much for your support! Hope to see some of you at the finish line.
