UPDATE: After a very long 23k ramble on Saturday (got the
hiking boots out and everything!), I’ve smashed my challenge with a few days to
go. I could have called it a day but have decided to add a twist, and add in a
detour to Littlehampton (for those of you that live in my area you’ll know that
when something happens on the Brighton mainline, trains could get diverted via
Littlehampton). So, my new target is 75.1 miles or 12,087,783cm or 194,964
steps. It’ll be a challenge hitting this by Friday, but I’m up for it!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This Red Nose Day I'm proving that funny is power by fundraising for Comic Relief.
When you donate to Comic Relief, you're supporting people living incredibly tough lives, in the UK and around the world. Our vision is to create a just world free from poverty and we're doing this by funding amazing organisations doing amazing things.
If this was a normal year, I’d be commuting into our office in Vauxhall. But this isn’t just any year, and my challenge isn’t any challenge. I’ve decided I will walk the distance of my commute between now and Red Nose Day. That’s 52 miles (according to googlemaps), 8,368,589cm (according to calculateme), or 134977 steps (according to fitbit). This morning I hit 6117 steps on my morning walk, so that’s only 128,680 to go…and if the weather and sea conditions hold up, I might even try to hit some of this distance on my paddleboard or while swimming!
