Facebook suggested I raise money for charity for my birthday so I thought I would give it a go. There is one local charity that wins my heart. Carers in Bedfordshire works to support all sorts of local people that care for a family member or friend. I was lucky enough to see the work they do daily from both working  for the organisation and from recieving their amazing support.

During the time while I was fighting the health service for help and answers for Elliott's difficulties Carers in Bedfordshire were the people who supported me through and kept me going during the hardest times...always there to listen, support and guide which gave me the strength to continue to fight for support. Because of this continued fight medication and support have meant that Elliott can overcome a lot of the things he finds most difficult, I would never have been able to make it alone. 

Our story is small in comparison to many of the Carers and families that are supported by this fantastic charity... If any of you feel you can spare something to help their continued work that would be great.
