The Archers supports everyone except Rob Titchenor who has a Stoma · 19 April 2016

We are Colostomy UK. Here if you have questions, need support or want to talk to someone who lives with a stoma. Your voice on the bigger issues: advocates for your rights & campaigning to raise awareness of what matters to you; running projects to empower & building communities to support you.

Story

Rob Titchener, Villain of The Archers, has been given a stoma after being stabbed by his abused wife. It has brought the issue of stomas into the public arena like never before. People close to me have had to have temporary stomas. They've been so brave and stoic. I am overwhelmed by the kindness, efficiency and professionalism of the stoma care teams particularly at the Chelsea & Westminster and Kingston hospitals (and also Fittleworths, the stoma supply delivery company). They are amazing people and help to make it bearable for the sufferers. But stoma care is so rarely spoken about in public - any money we can raise will be useful to help provide help for those people who suffer either temporarily or permanently.
