Story
I have got a place to run the Manchester Half Marathon in October. Unfortunately, I know that there's a good chance that if I don't tell loads of people that I'm going to do it, then I will back out of it, so... here's a fantastic opportunity for you to chip in a few pounds that will do two things:
First off, the money will go to Cancer Research UK. They help research ways to beat cancer. Their aim is stopping cancer. Is there anyway in which that could be a bad thing? They have a section of their website where you can find out what they are doing to help beat *every different type* of cancer. They have a bit of their website about coping with cancer. There's another part of their website that helps explain to worried people what all the scary words to do with cancer mean. Cancer Research only do good things. Give them some money.
Secondly - in case giving money to Cancer Research isn't enough for you - by donating money you will also be FORCING me to run a half marathon. I will have to run just over 13 miles. That's a really long way, and if you've donated to this then I can't quietly back out and pretend this never happened..
So by donating, you can help really great people do really great things, *while also* forcing great big lumbering me to run a really, really long way.
