Skydive · 27 July 2019

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

On the 27th July, subject to the British weather, I aim to undertake a Charity Skydive at Salisbury to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

I will be taken on a 12 minute plane journey up to 15,000ft, where I will be attached to an instructor and jump out!

My freefall decent will be around 60 seconds, reaching speeds of over 100mph, and that’s probably just my heart!

I have paid for the experience myself, so any sponsorship you give will go straight to Cancer Research UK.

In recent years I have been affected by people close to me who have suffered from various Cancer related health issues, and felt I should do something towards this.  Cancer is never kind or fair and the more that can be done to reduce its impact on our lives and the lives of our friends and loved ones, the better the world will be.  In a small way, my leap of faith may help make a difference!

This experience is designed to raise money for Cancer Research UK, and if this is something that you would like to sponsor I have set up a Just Giving link for donations.

Donations of any size are greatly appreciated!
