Ray and I cycle often, rarely stopping to raise money.  Encouraged by the efforts of friends who have, plus the inspirational work of Nadim and Huda Nassar, now we're stopping, now at last we're trying to raise money for their trailblazing Awareness Foundation.

Syria has dropped out of the eye of the media, but not of the Foundation.  Only weeks ago the Nassars visited Syria to continue their work in helping children build their well-being, self esteem, resilience, emotional and mental health. Sanctions mean the people pay the price: no electricity, no fuel, no water.  In the midst of heartbreak and deprivation, the Foundation is trying to empower young children to live with dignity and give them back some of their lost childhood.

Nothing like as brave as the Nassars, Ray and I start our journey in Avignon, Provence Some 475km in, we join 6 friends to follow the last 1,025km of the Via Francigena, the major pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome.  Anything you can donate will help us push harder, but more importantly, will bring hope to the children of Syria.  Thanks so much.
