Brighton Marathon 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·
Around a year ago, I made the completely idiotic decision to take up running. Having never run more than 2 miles before, I gradually built myself up to 3, 6, 10 and then my first half marathon in October of last year. After crossing the finishing line in complete agony, I swore never to run again.... except now I'm doing the Brighton Marathon on April 19th!
I'm running it in memory of my friend Ben, who passed away back in 2018. Ben was the kindest, most caring person I've ever known and there's not a day goes by where we don't miss him. Ben was a Brighton resident of 8 years, so it seems fitting that I'm running this event there.
I'm running for Amnesty International - a charity that was really close to Ben's heart. Amnesty do fantastic things around the world, standing up for social justice and human rights for all.
Any donation would be really appreciated, you'll be helping a good cause and making sure I don't give up midway through!
