The Great Ugandan Cycling Challenge

The Great Ugandan Cycling Challenge · 14 October 2015
Alex Williams, Emma Gresko and Thomas MacThomas from Forward Partners are off on a perilous cycling journey across Uganda; from Congo all the way to Rwanda.
It's a distance of 256 miles, on broken roads, up a mountain (1600m aka Courcheval) and if that sounded like a cake walk it's also the rainy season. Oh and they don't know what bikes they're getting.
With nothing but the overarching fear of the infamous Black Mamba and intrepid tree-climbing lions snapping at their heels to spur them on, it'll be a miracle if they make it back.
PoP is an amazing organisation supporting prisoners in Uganda, who are often forgotten and persecuted as a group, suffering social and economic exclusion. PoP helps them develop skills so they can reintegrate back into their communities and create opportunities for a better life when they are released, breaking the cycle of poverty, re-offending and imprisonment.
