Mount Everest Challenge · 30 March 2020

We believe that everyone deserves the basics in life, no matter what crisis, illness, disability or difficulty they may be going through. We change lives by providing essential items, including food, clothing, beds, cookers and fridges to help improve quality of life for vulnerable people in need.

Story

Starting on 31st March I will be climbing the height of Mount Everest by walking up the stairs in my building. I am setting myself the challenge to walk up the stairs 1,236 times over 40 days, aiming for 30 sets of climbing a day coming to a total of 58,070 steps. This would get me to the summit of Mount Everest!

We believe that all local people deserve a decent standard of living, with a right to adequate food, shelter and the means to keep warm, clean and rested – no matter what difficulty they may be facing. We do this by finding funding to provide the essential items that everyone deserves. We can’t do this without the vital support of our donors. Every £10 donated unlocks £50 from charitable trusts and every single penny goes to help local people and children in need.
