Story
We are 10 boys at Monmouth school in our GCSE year (aged 15-16) who have recently become aware of the huge population of blind people in the UK. As of 2016, over two million people in the UK are living with sight loss.
We have decided to raise money for blind people by putting ourselves in their place, having to overcome incredible challenges to do what they love and prove how hard it can be being blind finding even the simplest of tasks impossible.
On November the 16th we will be hosting a blind football match, temporarily blindfolding ourselves to demonstrate just how difficult life can be as a blind person without the help charities like the RNIB provide.
For every pound donated, RNIB spends 87p directly helping blind and partially sighted people, 11p on raising more funds, and 2p on administration.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, many thanks.
