The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Autism... What is Autism? I bet a lot of people reading this do not fully understand Autism. I was and probably still am one of these people. Four years ago I began learning about the condition, and I am still learning every day.

Autism is a lifelong condition. There are around 700,000 people on the Autistic Spectrum in the UK alone and yet awareness of the condition is next to none.
I could go on and on trying to educate you on this condition but I'll let you research it for yourself.
The most important fact I have learnt is that the Autistic Spectrum is wide. People you pass in the streets or sit next to in school who might appear 'neurotypical' could have this diagnosis. They could be struggling to cope with the world we live in as accomodations are not being made for them; due to a lack of awareness by those who are able to help, such as you and I.

Therefore, I will be running Manchester Marathon for Autism; to raise awareness and money for the National Autistic Society.
I would appreciate any amount you are able to donate.

To anyone with an Autism diagnosis, I am in awe of you for coping with a life which is, at times, more challenging than mine! And for that special someone close to me, who has autism, I love you!
