Hello friends,  

On 15 March 2014, our team of skiers - The Ski Degrees - took on one of the most exhilarating and intense ski challenges to raise money in aid of Greenhouse Charity.  We were the only all female team to take on this challenge out of 20 teams.

Completing a full journey on all 52 lifts within the Méribel Vallée during the course of a single day, our team completed a lift every 9 minutes followed by a descent of over 15,000 metres – or just short of two Mount Everests!  We lost a member of our team even before the challenge started to badly sprained wrist, survived an amazing torchlight descent, awful boot pain and walked up poma tows that weren't working  - carrying our skis!  Over the 9 hours we only stopped once for an extremely quick loo break and had a very quick baguette on one of the cable cars.

Although this challenge was exciting, entertaining and, of course, exhausting, our real purpose for taking part in Coeur Blanc 2014 was to raise sponsorship!

Founded in 2002 Greenhouse is a dedicated and accomplished charity which empowers young people in London’s most disadvantaged communities to realise their potential through high quality, intensive sport programmes.
