Dryathalon · 1 January 2015

Like all RSPCA branches, we are independent, meaning we do not receive government funding and must fundraise to care for local animals. We look after cats, dogs and rabbits who may have been subject to cruelty or neglect previously, making sure they are happy and healthy once rehomed.

Story

To be completely honest I wasn't going to be drinking in January anyway in an effort to be healthy, but I've seen that a lot of people are doing this "Dryathalon" so I thought I may as well raise some money while I'm not drinking.

Most people are doing their Dryathalons for Cancer charities, and don't get me wrong I do care about that a lot and like many people, it has affected my family. However with things like "the ice bucket challenge" and the "no make-up selfie challenge", they already have so many people aware of them and donating to them.

In general I care more about animals than people, nothing breaks my heart more than stories about abandoned or mis-treated pets, so I've decided to do my Dryathalon for the RSPCA in Lincoln.

Feel free to donate, I'm not setting a huge goal and I don't want to shove it down peoples throats, but the option's there.
