Story
I am taking part in the Great South Run on Sunday 21st October 2018. I feel that the Elizabeth Foundation is an amazing local charity helping change the lives of babies and pre school children who have hearing and speech problems. They also help children who are not only born with a hearing loss but who have become ill and have lossed their hearing from an illness such as meningitis. Having a hearing loss can significantly affect a child's ability to communicate. However, with modern technology and the care and support of The Elizabeth Foundation they are given the best possible start in life.
please if you can sponsor us we would be very grateful.
“We thought that he would never be able to speak to us... Nor, more importantly, would he ever be able to hear us tell him we love him.” Parent of profoundly deaf little boy.
The Elizabeth Foundation (TEF) helps deaf babies and pre school children learn to listen and speak. We are there to support and inform families from the moment their child is diagnosed with any degree of hearing loss. This year over 80 babies, toddlers and pre-school children will attend specialist education programmes and get individual speech and language therapy
