Thanks for taking the time to visit my justgiving page. Here's a brief description on what we will be doing with the money raised to help those less fortunate in Ethiopia.

In September 2012 a group of us will be flying to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia to help those less fortunate than us. We will be spending the first week working with local schools in particular the Hamle School where we are funding a new pitch which should be completed for this trip. We will be working with local charity Right To Play and we'll be delivering fun coaching sessions to children aged from around 8 -15. 
We will also be visiting Hannah’s orphanage and other schools and facilities in the afternoon for further coaching and play sessions and to deliver kit and equipment to those who we have worked with.
We will then move on to Lalibela and visit the LEAP school there, working with the children and playing games with them.

 

Where does your donation go?

 

The money you donate will be spent on the actual building and renovation of the pitch, as well as footballing facilities for the children.Absoltuely anything you can spare is truly appreciated. Thanks for your time. For more information, visithttp://www.footballaction.org.uk

 

To give you an idea of where the donations went last time, read the below passage from our flagship project in Ethiopia in 2010!

 

"In August 2010 Football Action went out toLalibela in Northern Ethiopia. We spent two weeks coaching the children both on and off the field. We provided the school with a new football pitch and metal goal posts, footballs, kit for the children and coaching equipment to provide the adult teachers with the resources to continue a footballing legacy for future generations to enjoy.

 

Through the LEAP education programme and Football Action we hope to provide children from the Lalibela community with the opportunities to enjoy football and access to an improved education and a better start in life.

 

We also raised funds to support a local orphanage – Hanna’s Orphanage. Hanna's Orphanage is a charity set up to help vulnerable children in Ethiopia, by supporting the maintenance, improvement and expansion of an orphanage for 300 children."
