Story
In February, we were devastated to lose our baby boy, Rowan Michael James Miller. Rowan had to be delivered very early and sadly he was too small to survive. We were fortunately very well looked after at Addenbrooke's hospital. Whilst there was no specific bereavement suite for us, we were lucky to be admitted to a private room out of the way of the main ward.
This has led me to raise money to relieve the suffering of parents and their families who suffer bereavement through the death of a baby before or at birth, and to advance the knowledge and expertise of healthcare professionals and others in supporting and dealing with the effects of such a death on the bereaved.
The work that Abigail's Footsteps does is fantastic and I am honoured to have the opportunity to raise funds to help build further bereavement suites in other hospitals.
