The Benevolent Fund helps fallen riders and their families in cases of need. It also raises funds to go towards medical equipment for use at BMCRC Race Meetings.

Story

On Sunday 25th April I will be running the Virgin London Marathon and raising money for the British Motorcycle Racing Club (known as BEMSEE) Benevolent Fund.  The fund helps fallen riders and their families in case of need.  It also raises funds towards medical equipment for use at BEMSEE race meetings.

I am in my 'Rookie' season racing an R6 in the Rookie 600 class.  My first race weekend was at Snetterton where I witnessed a tragic accident resulting in the death of a fellow racer.  I am really hoping I can raise some money to help the family in such tragic circumstances.  Every racer knows that there is a risk when lining up on the grid, but it is beyond comprehension that a life may be lost.
