Story
I've been trying to send you all an email, detailing my voyage around London, but the Justgiving page keeps sending you an automated thank you instead - so I am incredibly sorry. I am extremely grateful. The amount I raised is way beyond what I first hoped. I did make it round the course in the end, but only managed a 4h 02m, so I guess I'll have to enter again if I want that elusive 3h 30m...
In a moment of rash enthusiasm I've decided to run the 2010 London Marathon on April 25th. I thought I might as well do it now whilst I'm still fit(ish) and young, and my knees still work! I've given up alcohol - as an added incentive for sponsorship, of course.
I am running in aid of Emmaus Oxford.
Emmaus is a charity, founded in France, that does some fantastic work not just in Oxford, but all over the UK. It's a project that people around me have been very committed to over the years and I felt it was time that I did something too. Running a long way seemed simple enough. If you would like to read more please visit http://www.emmaus.org.uk/ I've set myself the rather ambitious target of raising £26,200 and running a time under 3.30, so all the help you guys can give will be HUGELY appreciated. I've been running for the last few months, quite literally through wind and snow.
