Nightmare on Crystal Lake Movie Marathon · 16 April 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

My partner works for the NHS, and is quite literally on the front lines. I have been trying to figure out the best way to help out myself. Unfortunately, I have no useful skills to offer up in aid of this crisis. I don't drive, I'm not trained in medicine, and I can't go out to work in the supermarkets because I've got to stay home with the kids!

What I can do is watch movies. It's about the only skill I have. So I'm going to attempt to put that to good use. So, on 16th April at 8pm I will embark upon a massive 24 hour+ movie marathon! I will be watching the complete Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises back to back (including Freddy vs Jason, but not the rubbish remakes), and I'll be updating you all as I go.

I appreciate it isn't the most taxing or difficult thing in the world for me to sit there and watch movies. It's what I do most of the time anyone. But the real challenge is staying awake, and trying to keep the kids out of the way.

During this time of crisis we've all got to try and do our best to help out and support those who are on the front line, making sure we're all safe and well. This is my attempt at doing that. Please donate, and support the NHS.
