Alex, Antonio and Ben will be taking on the gruelling 13.1 miles across the Tyne in the Great North Run in support of the amazing Blackpool Carers Centre.

Blackpool Carers Centre provides specialist support, respite and outings for unpaid carers from the age of 5 years and their families. They help carers to create friendships, feel less isolated, strengthen their resilience and make happy memories.

The service is often a lifeline for many carers who would otherwise feel isolated and unable to cope. A carer is someone, who without payment provides help and support to a parent, partner, child, relative, friend or neighbour, who could not manage without their help. This could be due to illness, disability, frailty, mental ill health or substance misuse.
